The Art of Letting Go

People come and people go! This is a universal reality about people. No matter how much we want them to stay, no matter how much we love to continue the play, no matter how hardly we pray, we can never block their way.

It is not always easy to accept this reality. We always want to keep people especially those we love. There's always a sobering pain when our close friends, our family and dear ones would be away from us. But believe me, those are normal emotions resulting from our developed attachment to the person.

Attachment is so powerful that even if your relationship didn't have a happy ending, you would still treasure the happy beginning. In your mind you know that the person is not worth keeping but in your heart you still want to enjoy the feeling. However, there should be a time of releasing. We must learn to let go of the pain, let go of the person if necessary and start believing, moving and embracing a new beginning.

There is a kind of releasing that keeps life appealing. It is releasing the person who leaves, with our full blessings. It is allowing the person to keep on exploring. It is to keep believing that God will fill both of our hearts' longings and bless both our coming and our going.

After all we all belong to God and He makes it sure that just in time, we are in the right place with the right people. We may hardly pray for people to stay but still God has the final say.

yes faith and ya dhrey... i do agree 101% that it's so hard to let go of someone whom you've spent memorable experiences with, and shared your life with. well, u know my story and it really proves to be even until now ha. but certainly, God allows this moment for us to realize that "THE BEST" is yet to come. well, i just do hope that this time now is the best for me. thanks ya dhrey for this feature. it reminds me again.. hehe.. God bless u more!

"After all we all belong to God and He makes it sure that just in time, we are in the right place with the right people."

...yah yah yah..tma na tor,hihihi..and again it's all about trusting God,coz we may not know what our circumstances-why,what,when,where,who,and all Qs..But for sure His ways are absolutely always PERFECT. And if we keep this in mind we will continue to become steadfast in Him..tama ba consehal?hihi..

Indeed, it is really true that it's hard to let go of someone especially those whom you are comfortable with. I've been in a situation that I ask, why did God allow this things to happen? Then I just said to my self, what can I do? Who can oppose His will? We may have a lot of plans but God will do what He has decided. Prov.19:21

I remember the time when I left Davao, it was not easy for me to stay out of my comfort zone and say goodbye to my friends. Well, There's no place like home. I thought it was for good, but things changed hehe. Just like kuya Dhrey said "people come and people go" but sometimes they go and come back again hehe, that's the happy part.

Let's make the most of life that's borrowed. Let go and trust God to do His plans.

Letting go is the greatest fear in a life of a person. cause it involves losing someone or something that is very much connected to us, and fear is part of a darkside of our life that if you wont let it go it will consume you and bring you to were it is. the darkside and this invovle the destruction of your relatonship with others and with God and even your self.
